Life and death are the universal truths. One which has taken birth will eventually die. The same stands true for the eyelashes. The matured ones will fall and the place will be taken by the newer generation. The normal fall of eyelashes is quite natural. It starts bothering you when the fall is not at all in the normal range. The abrupt numbers can really cause panic when the underlying reason is not known.
Causes behind eyelash fall
The normal rate does not cause anxiety among the ladies but when you accidentally pluck four or five eyelashes together, it is the right time to be worried. The main reason behind the loss of so many eyelashes at a time is that they are weak. The roots cannot hold them properly.
The reasons behind the weakness in the eyelashes can be due to the lack of nutrition. The individuals who do not have nutritious food and suffer from irregular food habits might lose the eyelashes more than a normal person. In fact, the overuse of heavy cosmetics and mascara can be the prime reason behind the loss. The process of makeup removal can be the most harmful thing to the eyelashes. The cosmetics do not leave that easily. In order to remove the greasy remnants, the ladies often prefer solutions. The application of the synthetic solutions can be very harmful to the eyelashes. The normal lashes grow weak and the roots cannot hold them anymore resulting in their fall. The void spaces between the dense eye-lines look awkward.
How long does it take for eyelashes to grow back?
How long does it take for eyelashes to grow? Well, as mentioned earlier, if the medical advice suggests that the fall is normal then you do not have to worry about the growth of the eyelashes. The regeneration of the lashes occurs in two distinct phases. The first phase is where the eyelashes start to originate in the void spaces. It takes around two weeks to a month to regain the proper length of the hairs on the rim of eyelids. If the eyelids are lost during this crucial growth phase then the regeneration will take time.
The second phase denotes the resting time of the fully grown eyelashes. This is the time when the eyelashes rest for almost 6 to 9 months and then tend to get replaced by the new ones.
The growth of the eyelashes can be hastened if proper nutrition is provided. The individuals with improper eating habits might delay the process. In fact, there are some external stimulants that enhance the growth of the eyelashes and make them denser too.
If you think that your eyelashes are falling rapidly then you should consult a doctor. This is the time to refrain yourself from heavy makeup and application of mascara. Due to overuse of the cosmetics and vigorous makeup removal techniques, the eyelashes weaken from the roots. The thin and weak eyelashes fall very easily. Try to be gentle while removing your light makeup and mascara properly. Eat well and follow the instructions of the medical practitioners to get rid of eyelash problems easily.
